A bstract The discovery of new, flavor-dependent neutrino interactions would provide compelling evidence physics beyond the Standard Model. We focus on generated by anomaly-free, gauged, abelian lepton-number symmetries, specifically L e – μ , τ and that introduce a new matter potential sourced electrons neutrons, potentially impacting flavor oscillations. revisit, revamp, improve constraints these can be placed via composition diffuse flux high-energy astrophysical neutrinos, with TeV–PeV energies, i.e., proportion ν in flux. Because we consider mediators to ultra-light, lighter than 10 − eV, interaction range is ultra-long, from km Gpc, allowing vast numbers neutrons celestial bodies cosmological distribution contribute this potential. leverage present-day future sensitivity telescopes oscillation experiments estimate could coupling strength interactions. find that, already today, IceCube telescope demonstrates constrain long-range significantly better existing constraints, motivating further analysis. also improvement due next-generation such as IceCube-Gen2, Baikal-GVD, KM3NeT, P-ONE, TAMBO.
